1. About Provenance
Provenance is an estate records organisation and information service operating from 60 Ratsada Road, Talat Yai, Muang, Phuket 83000, Thailand ("we", "us", "our"). Our services are organisational and informational only. Nothing we provide constitutes legal, financial, or formal professional advice. Where a household's circumstances appear to call for professional advice, we will point them towards appropriate official or professional sources.
2. Our services
We currently offer three programmes:
- Records Listing Session — a calm session helping you list and label important documents, including a printed inventory.
- Family Planning Conversations — a guided series helping families discuss wishes and record-keeping together, including printed guides.
- Full Records Archive Programme — a thorough programme building a clearly labelled household archive, including a home filing layout and a family briefing.
Precise scope and deliverables for each engagement are confirmed in writing at the time of booking. Prices are as published on our website or as agreed in correspondence, and are stated in Thai Baht (฿).
3. Engagement and booking
An engagement begins when both parties have confirmed in writing the programme, price, and expected schedule. We may ask for a deposit before beginning work; the amount, if any, will be agreed and set out clearly at the time of booking.
We take on a limited number of households at any one time in order to give each family the attention their records deserve. We will let you know promptly if we are not in a position to begin immediately.
4. What we do and do not provide
We help households organise and label documents, build clear filing structures, and create readable summaries for family members. We do not:
- Draft, review, or advise on the content of any legal document.
- Provide financial, investment, or estate-planning advice.
- Act as a notary, lawyer, accountant, or regulated professional of any kind.
- Store or take custody of original documents.
Where the nature of a family's situation calls for such services, we will point you to suitable official sources and professional directories, but we are not in a position to recommend specific practitioners.
5. Your responsibilities
You agree to provide us with accurate information about the documents and materials you wish to organise. You confirm that you have the right to share any documents or information with us for the purpose of our work together. We ask that you keep scheduled appointments or give us reasonable notice if you need to change them.
6. Payment
Payment terms are confirmed at the time of booking. Invoices are payable within the period stated on the invoice. We reserve the right to pause work on an engagement where payment is significantly overdue, after giving reasonable notice.
7. Cancellation and changes
If you wish to cancel or pause an engagement, please let us know as early as you are able. Any amount payable will reflect the work completed to the point of cancellation. We will always aim to find a fair and reasonable arrangement.
We may occasionally need to reschedule sessions at short notice. In such cases we will notify you as promptly as possible and arrange an alternative time that suits you.
8. Confidentiality
We handle all information shared with us with care and discretion. Details of your engagement, the content of your records, and anything you tell us about your family's circumstances will not be shared outside our small team, except where required by law or where you have asked us to pass information to another party on your behalf.
9. Limitation of liability
Our services are organisational and informational. We are not liable for any decisions made, or outcomes arising, as a result of how documents are organised or the information contained in them. Our liability is limited, in all circumstances, to the fees paid for the specific engagement to which a claim relates.
We recommend that all households using our services also engage relevant qualified professionals — such as a solicitor or financial adviser — for matters that go beyond record organisation.
10. Website use
The content of this website is provided for general information and to help you understand our services. It does not constitute advice of any kind. We take care to keep information accurate but cannot warrant that every detail is current at all times. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience only; we are not responsible for their content.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by mutual discussion will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Phuket Province.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when the current version was last reviewed. Continuing to use our services or website after an update indicates your acceptance of the revised terms.
